Sydform Miniatures 2017
The first Sydform exhibition was held in 2002. Sydform was founded to present regional design and give new designers an opportunity to exhibit professionally.
Each year Sydform awards a scholarship worth SEK 10,000. The exhibition is juried and open to designers working in Skåne and the Zealand region of Denmark.
Sydform is intended to be a link between designers and the furniture industry. Over the years a number of Sydform participants have got their furniture into series production.
To give more people the opportunity to apply and to make the exhibition more sustainable, this year the furniture will be exhibited as models in the scale of 1:5. This uses less material; the models can be produced without a workshop, and the exhibition can be transported between venues in a smaller crate.
The long-term intention of Sydform Miniatyr is to create an exhibition with applicants from throughout Scandinavia.
