Form/Design Center is a national hub for Designed Living Environment, working to develop and disseminate knowledge about sustainable and inclusive living environments. Through the Knowledge Forum for Designed Living Environment, professional development opportunities are offered to practitioners in the built environment sector. As a partner of the New European Bauhaus, this work is connected to a broader European context, with a focus on sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion.

Knowledge Forum for Designed Living Environment

The Knowledge Forum for Designed Living Environment is Form/Design Center’s platform for professional development and in-depth learning within the field of designed living environments. It brings together courses, networks and development projects that support professionals and organisations in the built environment sector, particularly within the public sector, in their work to develop and manage sustainable living environments.

Skills Development for Sustainable Urban Development

The built environment sector in southern Sweden is undergoing a historic transition. As the focus shifts from new construction towards reuse and the strategic management of what has already been built, a significant skills gap is emerging. The “Skills Development for Sustainable Urban Development” project is a joint effort to strengthen professionals and organisations in their work towards a climate-neutral and inclusive future.

National Node for Designed Living Environment

Form/Design Center is Sweden’s leading platform for architecture, design and crafts. In 2018, Form/Design Center was appointed by the Swedish Government as a national node for Designed Living Environment.

Official New European Bauhaus Partner

Form/Design Center has been appointed an official partner of the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative, which brings a cultural and creative dimension to Europe’s green transition, promoting sustainable innovation, technology and economic development.
