In the exhibition, you are invited to experience cultivation up close. Taste, smell, and try different growing techniques, meet participants from the basement cultivation project in Rosengård, and learn from their experiences. Discover vertical hydroponic growing with Growpipes and see how food can be cultivated in unexpected environments – from basements to urban spaces.
From Basement to Kitchen
From Basement to Kitchen is a project that explores how underutilized basement spaces can be transformed into productive and social meeting places. In the project, residents of Rosengård have grown food indoors while also working with ideas on how their living environment can be developed.
The project is led by Botildenborg in collaboration with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Form/Design Center, and is part of ShiftSweden’s transition lab for future-proof large-scale residential areas.
