PrintPower Award is an annual poster competition in which students from Sweden’s leading design and art schools explore the poster as a medium of expression and communication. In this year’s edition, 214 entries were submitted, of which ten finalists and one winner were selected by a jury.
This year’s theme, For Sweden in Our Time, has given rise to a wide range of interpretations. The posters move between personal reflections and clear societal commentary, with recurring motifs addressing contemporary concerns, political tensions, and social structures. At the same time, there are elements of recognition in depictions of everyday life and national symbols.
Together, the entries form a multifaceted picture of how a new generation of designers views Sweden today—where ideas, expression, and craftsmanship come together in posters that both challenge and engage.
