Malmö Offices: Design-build
Presented here are projects from four Malmö-based offices, who made design-build a central part of their operation.
The selection is not exhaustive, however the projects are some of the most innovative in the field. Three projects stem from the same plan – the Spårvägen district in Malmö – and others can be found in other parts of Scania.
Malmö is today the most exciting city in Sweden for design-build architecture. Siegel's Urban Villas, that in 2009 won the Kasper Sahlin prize, became a kind of starting point, and there is today an unusual concentration of qualitative projects and offices, and in addition a planning department which takes an interest in the matter.

Förstberg Ling
Förstberg Ling is an architectural firm founded in Malmö in 2015 by Björn Förstberg and Mikael Ling. All projects, both smaller and larger, are designed from a simultaneously technical and aesthetic perspective, where the result often ends up in the borderland between the obvious and the surprising.

Belleville
Belleville arkitektkontor was founded in 2014 by Anna Englöv and Jeanette Lundberg after a multi-year background at Arkitektmagasinet in Malmö – one of the first architectural offices to build homes through design-build. Since the beginning, that has also been their goal.

Stadstudio
Stadstudio was founded by Alexander Lenre Simittchiev in 2011 and consists of 10 architects today. They work with architecture at all scales and stages. Stadstudio believe in unique and site-appropriate architecture as a prerequisite for ecological and sustainable construction. Their working method consists of an efficient studio model that ensures the quality of their projects daily.
