On July 1, VETE – a new summer café at Form/Design Center – will open. Behind the initiative is the same trio who recently opened the acclaimed restaurant VARV in Varvstaden: Benjamin van Stellingwerff, Francesco Mascellani och Gent Berisha.
VETE takes its name from the location – the historic grain warehouse at Hedmanska Gården by Lilla Torg – where Form/Design Center has served as a vibrant arena for architecture, design, and craft for over 50 years.
This new summer café will offer a menu focused on coffee, sandwiches, pastries, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Behind VETE is a strong team with roots in both Malmö and the international gastronomic scene:
Benjamin van Stellingwerff has worked in London’s restaurant world and has been part of Bastard, Ruths, and most recently Vyn by Daniel Berlin.
Francesco Mascellani, originally from Ferrara, Italy, brings experience from Copenhagen eateries such as Mangia, Studio, Levi, and Calma.
Gent Berisha has run a restaurant in Orlando and has been part of the Bastard and Ruths family for over six years.
