During the evening Mia Öhberg will talk about her craft and its history, and about how she came to be a hårkulla (traditional hairwork artisan) rather than a basket maker, which she had originally intended to become.
Mia, who hails from Våmhus, will also show some Våmhus baskets made by her grandfather, who was a basket maker. Afterwards, we’ll get the chance to try the technique ourselves using kumihimo discs or cardboard plates and yarn.
