With a cross-disciplinary content that covers several parts of the curriculum, the lesson opens up for a dialogue about design and the role of designers in the creation of our living environments. The aim is also to encourage critical thinking about consumption and production.

Based on a cup, an everyday object that all people know, the lesson guides students by talking about materials, manufacturing, design process, cost and sustainability. The lesson, which is free of charge, contains a theoretical part followed by a creative workshop.

A visit to Form/Design Center can provide a broader perspective on topics such as social studies, handicrafts, technology, history and imagery. Students also get to experience a new unique place where they learn about design, crafts and architecture.
